Matt’s professional focus is community revitalization. He has over 10 years of experience leading innovative projects and initiatives in the areas of brownfields redevelopment, Superfund site reuse and stakeholder engagement. Working with more than 60 communities in the northeast and across the country, he has developed strategic site reuse plans and area-wide planning revitalization frameworks for regions, cities and neighborhoods. He is recognized for his ability to build relationships and partnerships, lead innovative teams, facilitate productive workgroups and charrettes, and craft strategies built on community priorities and well-grounded in technical analysis.

Matt’s interests include building community capacities to transition from heavy manufacturing to emerging and sustainable technologies, forming effective coalitions, and developing plans that lead quickly to local action.
