Kate Bird

Senior Associate
BIO

In her role as Skeo’s GIS and information management lead, Kate works with a talented and interdisciplinary team to implement and improve innovative systems and tools to solve environmental challenges. Kate has over 15 years of experience with EPA’s Superfund, Federal Facilities Restoration and Reuse, and Underground Storage Tanks programs. She combines her deep understanding of EPA’s programs with technical expertise in GIS, data management and systems design to develop innovative approaches that anticipate client needs while working within constraints of Agency guidance. This varied work has ranged from supporting the design of EPA’s interactive Superfund Redevelopment Mapper and developing systems to track and report on Superfund site redevelopment to the implementation of an internal collaboration system for Skeo staff.

Kate applies multi-disciplinary skills, including GIS mapping, web design, economic and data analysis, system design, and passion for technology and good design to projects across Skeo’s portfolio.
